ECOTERRAZZO™ by Epoxy Solutions and PCT are a smooth seamless surface that is uninterrupted by unsightly expansion strips. Its cementitious matrix is self-hydrating and therefore will not shrink or crack. ECOTERRAZZO™ is designed to self-level and encapsulate with decorative aggregates such as marble chips or coloured glass and PCT has more of a basic paste or salt and pepper look. ECOTERRAZZO™ or PCT is specifically formulated to maximize the brilliance of chemical stains and dyes or integral colour.
ECOTERRAZZO™ is polished to a 120 grit finish like old school terrazzo and then sealed using a super clear cyclo-aliphatic (non-ambering) epoxy or urethane that is solvent free for a virtually maintenance-free floor. PCT on the other hand is polished to a high gloss granite-like finish. Both systems do not require the Standard terrazzo use of layered wax as the wear surface, which deteriorates rapidly and requires ongoing stripping and re-waxing.
