ECOTERRAZZO™ and PCT (Polished Concrete Topping) by Epoxy Solutions™ provide smooth, seamless surfaces uninterrupted by unsightly expansion strips. Their cementitious matrices are self-hydrating, ensuring they do not shrink or crack. ECOTERRAZZO™ is designed to self-level and encapsulate decorative aggregates such as marble chips or colored glass, while PCT offers a more basic paste or salt-and-pepper look. Both ECOTERRAZZO™ and PCT are specifically formulated to enhance the brilliance of chemical stains, dyes, or integral colors.
ECOTERRAZZO™ is polished to a 120-grit finish, reminiscent of traditional terrazzo, and then sealed with a super clear cycloaliphatic (non-ambering) epoxy or urethane that is solvent-free, resulting in a virtually maintenance-free floor. Conversely, PCT is polished to a high-gloss granite-like finish. Unlike standard terrazzo, both systems do not require the use of layered wax as a wear surface, which deteriorates rapidly and requires ongoing stripping and re-waxing. The cost savings over time are significant.
